Watt Analytics distinguishes two categories of data: Your personal data as well as your recorded data. In principal, these two categories are treated differently.
Your Personal Data Are of Utmost Importance to Us!
After registering with Watt Analytics, we know a lot about you. We know your name, your home address and your e-mail address. We need this information to communicate with you. Watt Analytics does not store any credit card information, this is up to your credit card provider! If you register a meter, then we know the name of your household and if you train new electrical appliances, then we also receive this information.
We will never share this information with anyone inside or outside the Watt Analytics Community.
The Measured Data Belong to the Community.
The Watt Analytics meter that you have installed records a data set 4 times a second, it describes from which phase which current is taken. The Watt Analytics software then assigns these data to an electrical appliance, where it is possible.
These measured data, including the assignment to an electrical appliance, will be announced within the Watt Analytics Community. We will never pass the name of the device's owners on to others.
